Structural family therapy can be described as a kind of therapy in which a whole family structure is taken into consideration for the intervention of a particular family.

Instead of focusing on a single member, the therapist focuses on the entire family combined in order to solve their issues. The therapist looks at the habits, ways of communication, routines, etc of the family members and suggests what changes need to be made in the family for it to evolve together.
