The imagined Alaska basically as a whole lot of land that is good for nothing. Although he got a good price in comparison, Alaska is huge and cost a lot of money. Just imagine what you think of the Arctic, then having the US pay one trillion dollars for it. Not great.

Why did the South rebel against the Union after Abraham Lincoln was elected president?
SVEN [57.7K]

The Civil War was by far the most catastrophic event to ever happen in the American South. There have been at least a few discussions on whether Abraham Lincoln and the Republicans should have prosecuted the Civil War, but surprisingly very little analysis on whether South Carolina's secession in 1860 was a strategically wise move in the context of the American debate on slavery and states' rights.

Secession was driven by the Southern planter class. For the purposes of this article, let's stipulate that the preservation of slavery and the plantation economy was the primary objective in seceding from the United States. If that was the point of secession, then the strategy was an obvious disaster

The Bank of the United States proposed by Hamilton is correctly
kobusy [5.1K]

The features of the Bank of United States according to Hamilton were all the above except the bank would be a private institution with the government a major stockholder.

The Bank of the United States:

 • Would issue paper money.
 • Would advise the government on investment.
 • Would keep and circulate federal funds.

Hamilton however, wanted the federal government to only have a minority stake in the Bank and not a majority as he felt this would ensure a better oversight of the bank.

In conclusion, option B is correct.
