The answer to this question would be false.

The phospholipid is only providing a wall in the cell membrane. They didn't have a specific capability. But there are some protein or canal that will work like doors or windows that will allow the exchange of some kind of specific material.

Phospholipids provide the specific functions of the plasma membrane.

The statement is FALSE.

Reasoning:

The phospholipids are the main component of the cell membrane.  Plasma membrane consists of both lipids and proteins.

Phospholipids do not have the specific capability. They form a bilayer that is largely impermeable to water-soluble molecules. Proteins embedded within the phospholipids bilayer carry out the specific functions of the plasma membrane, including selective transport of molecules and cell-cell recognition.

If Andy decides to change his 8 oz pork chop to 6 oz fillet of salmon, what would be his vitamin D dietary intake in IU? 6 oz of
olasank [31]
The correct answer is 920IU of vitamin D.

International Unit (IU) is a unit of measurement used widely to quantify hormones, vitamins, blood products and several medications. It refers to the mass or volume of a substance but varies depending on the substance which is being measured and its biological activity.

Regarding Vitamin D, 1 microgram (μg) of vitamin D is equivalent to 40IU. Since 6 oz of baked salmon contains 23 μg of vitamin D, Andy's vitamin D intake will be 920IU (23 μg * 40IU = 920IU).
