<u>ATP and NADH/NADPH</u>

Correct, Anabolic pathways require energy and reducing power for the biosynthesis of large molecules that can be utilized or stored.

<h3>What is anabolic pathways?</h3>

Anabolism collectively refers to all the processes of chemical reactions that build larger molecules out of smaller molecules or atoms; these processes are also known as anabolic processes or anabolic pathways. The opposite of anabolism is catabolism, the set of processes that breaks down larger molecules into smaller ones.

Anabolism and catabolism are the two types of metabolic pathways. Metabolic pathways are series of chemical reactions that take place in the cell. Anabolic pathways use energy, while catabolic pathways release energy.

Anabolic hormones are chemicals that cause cellular growth through activating anabolic pathways. Two examples of anabolic hormones are testosterone and insulin. Hormones can also be produced artificially in the lab; this is how anabolic steroids are created.

Magnesium has three naturally occurring isotopes, ²⁴Mg (isotopic mass = 23.9850 amu, abundance = 78.99%), ²⁵Mg (isotopic mass =
joja [24]

The atomic mass of the  magnesium is : 24.31⋅g.

<h3>What is isotopes?</h3>

Isotopes are members of a family of elements that all have the same number of protons and different numbers of neutrons. The number of protons in the nucleus determines the atomic number of an element on the periodic table.

Magnesium has three natural isotopes: ²⁴Mg, ²⁵Mg, and ²⁶Mg.

<h3>What is atomic mass ?</h3>

Atomic mass is the mass of an atom. The SI unit of mass is the kilogram, while atomic mass is often expressed in the non-SI unit dalton (synonymous with uniform atomic mass unit). 1 Da is defined as 1/12 the mass of a free carbon-12 atom at rest in the ground state.

Calculation :

The atomic mass is the weighted average of the individual isotopic masses:

(23.99×78.99%+24.99×10.00%+25.98×11.01%)⋅g=24.31⋅g

Zinc reacts with hydrochloric acid according to the reaction equation Zn ( s ) + 2 HCl ( aq ) ⟶ ZnCl 2 ( aq ) + H 2 ( g ) How ma
Katen [24]

Answer: 12.0 milliliters of 6.50 M HCl ( aq ) are required to react with 2.55 g Zn.

Explanation:

moles =\frac{\text {given mass}}{\text {Molar mass}}

moles of zinc =\frac{2.55g}{65.38g/mol}=0.0390moles

The balanced chemical equation is :

Zn(s)+2HCl(aq)\rightarrow ZnCl_2(aq)+H_2(g)

According to stoichiometry:

1 mole of zinc reacts with = 2 moles of HCl

Thus 0.0390 moles of zinc reacts with = \frac{2}{1}\times 0.0390=0.0780 moles of HCl

To calculate the volume for given molarity, we use the equation:

\text{Molarity of the solution}=\frac{\text{Moles of solute}\times 1000}{\text{Volume of solution in ml}}     .....(1)

Molarity of HCl solution = 6.50 M

Volume of solution = ?

Putting values in equation 1, we get:

6.50M=\frac{0.0780\times 1000}{\text{Volume of solution in ml}}

{\text{Volume of solution in ml}}=12.0ml

Thus 12.0 ml of 6.50 M HCl ( aq ) are required to react with 2.55 g Zn

Р<br> +<br> 02<br> =<br> P4O6 <br> balance the equation
sergejj [24]

To balance a chemical equation, both sides should have equal mass, or in other words both sides should have same number of atoms as to follow the conservation of mass rule.

P + O₂ = P₄O₆

LHS:

Number of Phosphorus atoms = 1 atom

Number of Oxygen atoms = 2 atoms

RHS:

Number of Phosphorous atoms = 4 atoms

Number of Oxygen atoms = 6 atoms

Also since P₄O₆ has the most number of atoms we will make the LHS equalize to P₄O₆.

Difference between Phosphorous atoms in LHS to RHS = 3

Since phosphorous is a monatomic we need 3 phosphorous atoms extra

Difference between Oxygen atoms is LHS to RHS = 4

But Oxygen is diatomic, so we need 4/2 = 2 Oxygen molecules

Now lets see if it is balanced

P + 3P + O₂ + 2O₂ -------> P₄O₆

               4P + 3O₂ ------>  P₄O₆

LHS:

Phosphorous atoms = 4 atoms

Oxygen atoms = 3 × 2 = 6 atoms

RHS:

Phosphorous atoms = 4 atoms

Oxygen atoms = 6 atoms

LHS = RHS

Therefore the balanced equation is 4P + 3O₂ =  P₄O₆
