Which organic molecule is soluble in water and serves as a quick source of energy?

The primary source of energy in living organisms is glucose. It is soluble in multicellular organisms and is delivered to all cells by bodily fluids where it is digested to release energy. The primary byproduct of photosynthesis and the starting substance for cellular respiration is glucose.

What fast-acting organic chemical provides energy?

Carbohydrates. A "mono-saccharide," or simple carbohydrate, is glucose, a 6-carbon sugar. Sugar provides the body with fast energy since it is easily digested.

What foods contain a lot of glucose?

In general, foods that are high in carbs, which are easily transformed into energy, such rice, bread, fruits, and sugar, cause blood sugar levels to rise the fastest.

Which plants contain a lot of glucose?

4 grams are in one packed teaspoon of sugar. Sweet potatoes, beets, onions, green peas, sweet corn, peas, canned pumpkin, winter squash, rutabagas, carrots, and tomatoes are some vegetables that have a higher sugar content. They provide 1 to 3.5 teaspoons (3.5g to 14g) of sugar per cup.

How do most fossils form? Be sure to explain your answer.
OlgaM077 [116]

Answer and Explanation:

Fossils can be formed in a variety of ways. First and foremost, organisms that possess bones (or shells) are the best candidates for fossilization because these structures commonly remain in fossilizing substances such as mud.

The most preserved fossils come from animals that die in aquatic environments or in environments that have a high level of humidity. This occurs because the animal gets buried in a sediment like mud, leading to the decomposition of soft structures and the fossilization of hard structures, such as bones. As layers of sediment are added, the dead body of the organism becomes a fossil.

Also, animals can leave well-preserved fossils during volcanic eruptions when they get trapped in hot ash flows. In addition, this could also occur in tundra ecosystems when animals get trapped in ice, leaving a well-preserved fossil inside. Moreover, plants are also fossilized, this generally takes place in sediments such as coal.

Finally, paleontologists are able to find the fossils once they become exposed thanks to a process called erosion.

Which of the following could be the goal of a negative feedback loop
Montano1993 [528]
Answer choice B.

Negative feedback is when the system is always returning to the same consistant conditions.

A good example of negative feedback would be body temperature (always returns to normal, despite small flunctuations).

Positive feedback always progresses completely. Like growth (once you grow, you stay that way) & pregnancy (fetus is constantly growing and then undergoes childbirth, a forward process).

Hope that helps!
