Repressors bind to silencer multiple choice question.

What is Repressors?

The repressor protein inhibits the synthesis of messenger RNA by attaching to the promoter region of the gene(s) (mRNA). The control of gene expression in cells requires repressor proteins.

These DNA sequences interact with repressors to either completely or partially repress a gene. Silencers can be positioned a number of nucleotides ahead or downstream of the gene's real promoter. Additionally, repressors are capable of having two binding sites—one for the promoter and one for the silencer region.

Activators interact with the DNA enhancer regions to help RNA polymerase attach to the promoter. Repressors bind to the silencer regions to stop RNA polymerase from attaching to the promoter.

_______________ light is in wavelengths too short for humans to see.
chubhunter [2.5K]
UV.

The visible colors from shortest to longest wavelength are: violet, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. Ultraviolet radiation has a shorter wavelength than the visible violet light. This energy with wavelengths too short to see is "bluer than blue". Infrared radiation has a longer wavelength than visible red light.
