The sixth term of an arithmetic sequence is 6

<h3>How to find arithmetic sequence?</h3>

The sum of the first four terms of an arithmetic sequence is 10.

The fifth term is 5.

Therefore,

sum of term = n / 2(2a + (n - 1)d)

where

  • a = first term
  • d = common difference
  • n = number of terms

Therefore,

n = 4

10 = 4 / 2 (2a + 3d)

10 = 2(2a + 3d)

10 = 4a + 6d

4a + 6d = 10

a + 4d = 5

4a + 6d = 10

4a + 16d = 20

10d = 10

d = 1

a + 4(1) = 5

a = 1

Therefore,

6th term = a + 5d

6th term = 1 + 5(1)

6th term = 6

The volume of a cube is 64 cubic inches. Which expression represents s, the length of a side of the cube?
vlabodo [156]

Answer:

<h2>Therefore the length of a side of a cube is \sqrt[3]{64}\ or\ 4</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a cube is expressed as L³ where L is the length of each side of the cube.

Given volume of a cube = 64in³

On substituting;

64 = L³

Taking the cube root of both sides to determine L we have;

\sqrt[3]{64} = (\sqrt[3]{L})^{3}\\\sqrt[3]{64} = L\\L=4

Therefore the length of a side of a cube is \sqrt[3]{64}\ or\ 4

Distributive property of (9×3)+(9×8)
Elodia [21]
We can see that both expressions, 9 times 3 and 9 times 8, have a common number of 9. We can take that number out, and we can combine 3 and 8 together. This gives us the expression 9(3 + 8). Therefore, the expression <span>(9×3)+(9×8) expressed as the distributive property is 9(3 +8), both totaling to 99. Hope this helped and have a fabulous day!</span>
