If a strand of DNA of sequence 5'-tggacctagacc-3' is replicated, 3' - ACCTGGATCTGG - 5' is the newly synthesized DNA strand

Humans and nearly all other species carry their genetic information in DNA, also known as deoxyribonucleic acid. Nearly all of a person's cells share the same DNA.

the molecule found inside cells that carries the genetic material necessary for an organism to develop and function. This knowledge can be passed on from one generation to the next thanks to DNA molecules. The information molecule is DNA. It contains information needed to create proteins, which are other big molecules. These instructions are dispersed throughout 46 lengthy structures called chromosomes that are found inside each of your cells. Numerous smaller pieces of DNA, known as gene.

How do we know that height in humans is a polygenic trait?
Elena-2011 [213]
We know that height in humans is a polygenic trait because it has a lot of variation. The height gene is controlled by at minimum three genes with six different alleles. If all of these alleles are dominant for the tall gene you will be tall if you are dominant for the short gene you will be short if there is no clear dominance between the two genes you will fall somewhere  in the middle.
