The molar mass of the acid if 28. 5 ml of the koh solution is required to neutralize the sample is 90.23g/mol.

<h3>For the calculation of molarity of solution</h3>

Molarity = (moles of solute/volume of solution) × 1000

Given,

Molarity of KOH solution = 0.180 M

Volume of solution = 28.5 mL

0.180 = (moles of KOH/ 28.5) × 1000

Moles = (0.18× 28.5)/1000

= 0.00513 mol

<h3>Chemical equation for the reaction</h3>

HA + KOH ------- KA + H2O

1 moles of KOH reacts with 1 moles of HA.

So, 0.00513 moles of KOH react with 0.00513 moles of HA.

<h3>To calculate the molar mass for given number of moles</h3>

Number of moles= given mass/ Molar mass

Given,

Mass of HA = 0.462 g

Moles of HA = 0.00512 mol

0.00512 = 0.462/ Molar mass

Molar mass = 90.23 g/ mol.

Thus the molar mass of HA required to neutralize the 28.5 mL of KOH is 90.23g/mol.

Which of the following adaptations would you expect tofind in an animal in the alpine biome, but not in the taiga
almond37 [142]
I think the best answer is migration. In an alpine biome, animals have two problems which is the very cold temperature and the UV rays from the sun. Most alpine animals hibernate and migrate to warmer areas of the mountains when the temperature continues to drop.

Black and green tea have a growing body of research suggesting there are positive health benefits on because of the anti-oxidant
andrezito [222]
Keeping in mind a total ignorance of both the health benefits of these teas, and the interaction between milk and antioxidants, I believe that it is possible that milk could hinder these benefits.

Tea is usually a hot beverage. Milk, when added to this beverage, would easily dissolve. When a solute (milk) dissolves in a solvent (tea), the chemical properties of the resulting solution can become quite distinct from both of the original substances. It seems possible that the same chemical properties of tea that make it healthy could be altered by the addition of milk.

How many kilojoules are released when 8.2 g of water condenses at 100 °c and cools to 15 °c?
MrRa [10]

Answer:- 2.92 kJ of heat is released.

Solution:- We have water at 100 degree C and it's going to be cool to 15 degree C.

So, change in temperature, \Delta T = 15 - 100 = -85 degree C

mass of water, m = 8.2 g

specific heat of water, c = 4.184\frac{J}{^0C.g}

The equation used for solving this type of problems is:

q=mc\Delta T

Let's plug in the values in the equation and solve it for q which is the heat energy:

q = (8.2)(4.184)(-85)

q = -2916.248 J

They want answer in kJ. So, let's convert J to kJ and for this we divide by 1000.

q=-2916.248J(\frac{1kJ}{1000J})

q = -2.92 kJ

Negative sign indicates the heat is released. So, in the above process of coiling of water, 2.92 kJ of heat is released.

Which structure is located between the auricle and the eardrum? O stirrup O ear canal O auditory nerve Ocochlea
Damm [24]

Answer:

The structure that is located between the auricle and the eardrum is the ear canal.

Explanation:

The ear canal, or external ear canal, is a a tubular hole about 30 mm long that runs from the auricle to the eardrum, forming part of the external ear.

Its function is to conduct sound, in the form of vibrations, from the outside to the eardrum. It also has the function of producing a viscous secretion called cerumen, capable of trapping dust particles and small foreign bodies.

Other options are not correct because:

  • <em>Stirrup is located in the middle ear, along with the anvil and hammer. </em>
  • <em>Cochlea is in the inner ear and continues with the auditory nerve.</em>
