The answer is
g'(x)=<span>4x^3-10x=0 so </span><span>(4x-10)x=0 it is  x= 0 and  x= 5/2
</span>
<span>g(0)=4
</span>
<span>g(5/2)=x^4-5x^2+4=11.81</span>
the minimum is  M(0, 4)

G ( x ) = x ^4 - 5 x² + 4
g `( x ) = 4 x³ - 10 x
4 x³ - 10 x = 2 x ( 2 x² - 5 ) = 0 ( the local minimum is where the derivative is equal to zero )
x = 0,
2 x² - 5 = 0
x² = 5/2
x = +/- √(5/2) = +/- 1.58
g ( 0 ) = 4 ( not the local minimum )
g ( √5/2 ) = g ( -√5/2 ) = ( √5/2 )^4 - 5 (√5/2 )² + 4 =
= 2.5 ² - 5 · 2.5 + 4 = 6.25 - 12.5 + 4 = - 2.25
Answer:
The local minimum is :  M ( - 1.58 ,  - 2.25 ) and N ( 1.58,  - 2.25 ).

Find the dimensions of the rectangle of largest area that has its base on the x-axis and its other two vertices above the x-axis
Igoryamba
<span>let 2x be the length of rectangw where x is value of x of point on parabola width is represented as y is the length.

  Area = 2x*y = 2x (5-x^2) = 10x -2x^3
 maximize Area by finding x value where derivative is zero
 dA/dx = 10 -6x^2 = 0
 --> x = sqrt(5/3)

optimal dimensions: length = 2sqrt(5/3) width = 10/3</span>

Rachel buys 1 gallon of milk. Her sister Abby uses 1 1 2 quarts of the milk in a recipe. Then her mother uses 3 cups of the milk
mrs_skeptik [129]

1 Gallon is equal to 4 Quarts.

4-1\frac{1}{2} =2\frac{1}{2}

2\frac{1}{2} Quarts is equal to 10 Cups.

10-3=7

There are 7 Cups left.

7 Cups is equal to 56 Fluid Ounces.

Therefore, the answer is B.
