M - Movement

R - respiration

N - Nutrition

I - irritability

G- growth

E - excretion

R - reproduction

D - death

Growth: Growth is the increase in size of an organism. The organism has to increase in size so that it can mature and be able to exhibit the characteristics for which the specie is known

Reproduction: Reproduction ensures that the next generation of the government will emerge out of the current generation and that the organisms does not become extinct

Excretion: Excretion helps the organism to pass out harmful materials and prevents the build up of toxins in the body of the organism.
