In incomplete dominance, neither of the alleles completely dominates over the other one. Coss: RW x RW. F1) 25% RR homozygous red, 50% RW heterozygous pink, 25% WW homozygous white.

What is incomplete dominance?

Incomplete dominance is one of the different types of inheritance patterns.

In these cases, neither of the involved alleles completely dominates over the other one. This is, the dominant allele can not mask the expression of the recessive allele in heterozygous individuals.

The resulting phenotype when different alleles are combined in the same genotype is an intermediate expression between the two extremes phenotypes.

Heterozygous individuals are different from both the dominant and recessive homozygous parents and express a mixture of both homozygous progenitors.

I will consider the following cross. I advise you check if this is the same as yours.

Alleles

  • R is the allele that codes for red
  • W is the allele that codes for white

Genotypes Phenotypes

RR RED flower

RW PINK flower

WW WHITE flower

Cross: between two plants with pink flowers

Parentals) RW x RW

Gametes) R W R W

Punnett square) R W

                      R RR RW

                      W RW WW

F1)

  • 25% = 1/4 of the progeny is expected to be homozygous RR and express red flowers
  • 50% = 1/2 of the progeny is expected to be heterozygous Rr and express pink flowers
  • 25% = 1/4 of the progeny is expected to be homozygous WW and express white flowers

Which of the following blood vessels would have the highest blood pressure?
elena-s [515]

Answer:

a constricted vessel with high blood volume

Explanation:

because the size or area within affected blood vessels is reduced by vasoconstriction. Therefore, the blood flow is often decreased as blood vessel pressure is lower. The pressure or power of blood flow is increased at the same time, which results in higher blood pressure is the force exerted by this.
