<h2><u>PENTAGONAL PYRAMID</u></h2>

<h3>Answer:</h3>

Faces = 6

Edges = 10

Vertices = 6

<h3>Explanation:</h3>

A <u>face</u> is any of the flat surfaces of a solid object, meaning that the pentagonal pyramid has got 6 faces in total; 5 triangles, and 1 pentagon (5+1=6)

An <u>edge</u> is a line segment where two faces meet, and they also join each vertex with another. So if we look at the base of the pentagonal pyramid (which is a pentagon) we can see that it has got 5 edges, and then, when we look at the edges that connect the triangles with eachother, there are 5 more edges, so 5+5=10.

A <u>vertex</u> is where two or more line segments (edges) meet. The base (pentagon) has 5 vertices, and at the top, where the 5 triangles' edges connect, there is another vertex (just 1). So 5+1=6.

What is the perimeter of the triangle (4,1) (2,5) (1,-1)
Naya [18.7K]

the perimeter of the triangle=14.38

The coordinates of the triangle (4,1),(2,5),(1,-1);

In geometry, the perimeter of a shape is defined as the total length of its boundary.

The perimeter of the triangle is the sum of all the sides of the triangle =a+b+c (assuming a,b, and c are the sides of the triangle)

By using the distances formula find the length of the sides of the triangle:√[(x₂ - x₁)² + (y₂ - y₁)²],

where (x₁,y₁),(x₂,y₂) are the coordinates ,

a=√[(4 - 2)² + (1- 5)²] = \sqrt 20=4.7

b=√[(2 -1)² + (5 -(-1))²]=\sqrt37=6.08

c=√[(1 -4)² + ((-1)-1)²]=\sqrt13=3.60

the perimeter of the triangle=a+b+c=4.7+6.08+3.60=14.38

hence ,perimeter of the triangle=14.38

10•4=40. 40 is the perimeter of the square. To find the perimeter of the semicircle use the circle perimeter (circumference) formula and divide that answer by two. This would be pi•10. You get 31.4. Then divide by 2 so it’s 15.7. Finally add 15.7 and 40. Hope this helps... sorry it’s such a long answer

Answer:

<em>M(13)=14.3 gram</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Exponential Decay Function</u>

The exponential function is used to model natural decaying processes, where the change is proportional to the actual quantity.

An exponential decaying function is expressed as:

C(t)=C_o\cdot(1-r)^t

Where:

C(t) is the actual value of the function at time t

Co is the initial value of C at t=0

r is the decaying rate, expressed in decimal

The element has an initial mass of Mo=970 grams, the decaying rate is r=27.7% = 0.277 per minute.

The equation of the model is:

M(t)=M_o\cdot(1-r)^t

M(t)=970\cdot(1-0.277)^t

Operating:

M(t)=970\cdot 0.723^t

After t=13 minutes the remaining mass is:

M(13)=970\cdot 0.723^{13}

Calculating:

M(13)=14.3 gram
