Hi! The total cost of this circus trip for the family would be 41 or $41.

Step-by-step explanation:

If you add 7+3 to get the total amount 1 ticket for 1 adult would be, it would be 10. So 10+10 for both adult tickets would be $20.  3 child tickets would cost $21 (7x3 or 7+7+7). Last, you would add up 20+21 and would get 41 and just add the dollar sign in front.

Hope this helps! Have a good day!

X = number of adult tickets
7x = value of the adult tickets

3x = number of child tickets
3x * 3 = value of children's tickets, which is also 9x

Value of adults plus value of children's = 6000

7x + 9x = 6000
Combine terms
16x = 6000
Divide by 16
x = 6000/16
Simplify fraction
x = 3000/8 = 1500/4 = 750/2 = 375 = number of adult tickets

Number of children's tickets = 3 * 375 = 1125 = number of children's tickets

Check:
Adults = 375 * 7 = 2625
Children's = 1125 * 3 = 3375
Total = 6000

1. Use the FOIL method (x+9)(x+9)
First, outer, inner, last
x^{2} +9x+9x+81
Add your like terms
x^{2} +18x+81

2. When you add or subtract polynomials you add or subtract the like terms and then put them in order from largest to smallest exponents.

3. -5x(5 x^{3} +10 x^{2} -6x+3)

4. Since it is the perimeter, we add the 3 together.
(2 x^{2} +4x-3)+(-3 x^{2} -3)+(5x+19)
Add the like terms together:
2 x^{2} +(-3 x^{2} )=- x^{2}  \\ 4x+5x=9x \\ -8+(-3)+19=8
Put them in order of exponents
- x^{2} +9x+8

Hope this helps

Answer:

4.

  • 400 ft elevation at 1 km and 3 km from the start
  • 300 ft/km average rate of change over the first 4 km

5.

  • length = 3.5 cm
  • width = 3.5 cm
  • height = 7.0 cm

6.

  • 6 mo: $1018.14
  • 5 yrs: $1196.89
  • avg incr: $3.28 per month

Step-by-step explanation:

<h3>4.</h3>

A graphing calculator is handy for solving problems involving cubic polynomials. You're interested in where the elevation is 400 ft. Since the value of f(x) is in hundreds of feet, you want to find x such that f(x) = 4.

Values of x where that is the case are x=1 and x=3, representing distances of 1 km and 3 km from the start of the road.

The average rate of change of elevation is the difference in elevation divided by the difference in distance from the start:

  average rate of change = (f(4) -f(0) hundred ft)/((4 - 0) km)

  = (19 -7)/4 hundred feet/km

  = 12/4  hundred feet/km = 300 ft/km

___

<h3>5.</h3>

You want to find x when ...

  A(x) = 122.5 cm²

  10x² = 122.5 cm² . . . . substitute the given expression for A(x)

  x² = 12.25 cm² . . . . . . divide by 10

  x = √(12.25 cm²) = 3.5 cm . . . . take the square root

The diagram tells you ...

  length = width = x = 3.5 cm

  height = 2x = 7.0 cm

___

<h3>6.</h3>

Evaluate the given expression for the different values of m:

  $1000·1.003^6 ≈ $1018.14 . . . . 6-month value

  $1000·1.003^60 ≈ $1196.89 . . . . 5-year value

The increase is $1196.89 -1000.00 = $196.89. That increase took place over 60 months, so the average increase per month is ...

  $196.89/(60 mo) ≈ $3.28 per mo . . . . average per month over 5 years

A symbol used to name one or more parts of a whole or a set, or a location on a number line is a?
jeka94

Answer:

Fraction

Step-by-step explanation:

Fraction is a symbol that represents a part of a whole. It consists of a <em>numerator</em> and a <em>denominator. </em>The numerator is the number above the fraction bar (also known as "Vinculum), while the denominator is the number below the fraction bar. The denominator is the total number of equal parts in a whole.

Examples of Fraction: \frac{1}{2}, \frac{2}{7} and \frac{5}{8}.

In the first example, \frac{1}{2}, 1 is the numerator, while 2, is the denominator.

<u>Additional Information</u>

When the numerator is smaller than the denominator, the fraction is called <em>"proper fraction."</em> On the contrary, when the numerator is bigger than the denominator, the fraction is called <em>"improper fraction."</em>
