Sigmund Freud theorized that men unconsciously experience “castration anxiety.” When his fellow analysts questioned this notion

and asked for his evidence, Freud accused them of being mistaken and held fast to his assertions. He wrote: “One hears of analysts who boast that, though they have worked for dozens of years, they have never found a sign of the existence of the castration complex. We must bow our heads in recognition of … [this] piece of virtuosity in the art of overlooking and mistaking.” Which rule of science was Freud violating in this case? Fully explain why this a violation of that rule of science.

Answer:

Freud presented a hypothesis, but showed no evidence to prove its veracity.

Explanation:

Feud established the idea of “castration anxiety” as a hypothesis, that is, an assumption about a certain situation that happens, in this case, he created this hypothesis related to human behavior through his unconscious. However, any hypothesis must be confirmed or disapproved through a scientific experiment that provides evidence to prove that the hypothesis is true or false. Freud did not present this evidence, but maintained his position in relation to "castration anxiety." This indicates that Freud did not carry out an experiment, which prevents the hypothesis created by him from being considered true or false.

What are three examples of cultural diffusion in east Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia (one for each region). What condition
Rom4ik [11]

South Asia:

A clear example is India's languages. In India, English is spoken, although it is a Saxon language from a completely different part of the world, as in, from a different continent, a different culture and has different roots. The colonization of India was what caused this and many other things to be assimilated by Indians and, most of the times, those things were imposed.

At least, Speaking English was eventually helpful to Indians and assimilating part of the British culture helped, even though just a little, the country to be a little better developed.

East Asia:

The most common cultural diffusion in East Asia is how the Ideograms used by the Chinese are used also in other countries. In Japan, they have its own name, Kanji, but they serve mostly the same purpose. Koreans have also used those same characters for a long time. This all happened, most likely, because of China's influence on other cultures and how they were, in a way, originated in it. The Chinese system was the first in the region to be created and therefore the only one used for a long time.

Eventually, for having a very complicated way of writing things, the solution that the Koreans came out was to create a simpler new way of writing for the common folk to be able to read. Nowadays, the Koreans have their own  characters and they are much more practical and easier than the Chinese one.

Southeast Asia:

The countries in southeast Asia have a closely interrelated history and it works the same way for their culture, which was shaped by the passage of many other cultures and religions that came with old trade routes. Being between the economic demands of the Chinese and Roman Empires, countries like of Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, and Malaysia ended up being frequently, and more and more exposed to new cultures from the west and the east, which eventually had a significant effect on their artistic traditions.

marin [14]

The correct answer for this question would be BBC Pips Greenwich Time Signals.

The another name for the hourly time signal or GTS first broadcast by the RGO in 1924 is called BBC Pips Greenwich Time Signals. For 75 years the major global news headlines of the day have been preceded by the six Greenwich Time ‘pips.

Explanation:

There are six pips (short beeps) in whole, which happen on the 5 seconds heading up to the hour and on the hour itself. Each pip is a 1 kHz tone the first five of which do a tenth of a second specific, while the final pip lasts half a second.

When a leap second happens (it is indicated by a seventh pip. In this case, the first pip occurs at 23:59:55

Radio broadcasting wasn't different when the Marconi Company commenced its innovative syncromeshed in 1922. The company had been displaying from its base in Chelmsford since 1920, and on the other side of the Atlantic scheduled broadcasts (from station XWA in Montreal) had commenced in May that year .
