Using the weighted mean, your final grade is of 80.58.

What is the weighted mean?

The weighted mean is given by the sum of all elements in a data-set multiplied by it's weight, divided by the sum of the weights.

When the weights are given as proportions, as is the case in this problem, the weighed mean is the sum of each value multiplied by it's proportion.

For this problem, the grades are given as follows:

 • 63 with a proportion of 0.17.
 • 60 with a weight of 0.205.
 • 78 with a weight of 0.205.
 • 99 with a weight of 0.42.

Hence the final grade is given by:

0.17 x 63 + 0.205 x 60 + 0.205 x 78 + 0.42 x 99 = 80.58.

Step-by-step explanation:

earbuds

we have a 1in : 0.2in scale of drawing to reality.

0.2 = 2/10 = 1/5

so, 1in in the drawing is actually 1/5in in reality.

how long are the 4in in the drawing ?

well, 4 times the 1in thing.

4×1/5 = 4/5 = 0.8in long

again the similar triangles

similar triangles means that each pair of corresponding lines (sides, heights, ...) in the triangles follows the same scaling factor for the length.

so, what do I need to multiply the side of the large triangle with to get the corresponding side length of the small triangle ?

27 × x = 9

x = 9/27 = 1/3

and that is the scale factor.

I need help ASAP , so what’s the answer
aivan3 [116]

The answer would be A.) 1

To find this answer you solve for x. Subtract 3/2 from both sides. This will give you 1/2x = 1/2^x. Then, divide by 1/2 on both sides to get x = 1.

To check this fill in x with 1. Then solve.

 • 1/2 * 1/1 + 3/2 = 2^1
 • 1/2 + 3/2 = 2
 • 4/2 = 2
 • 2 = 2

Thus making 1 the answer. Here's an image to show how I got this. I hope this helps!

Line L has an undefined slope. Line M is perpendicular to line L. Which of the following could be the equation of line M?
Marat540 [252]
"Line L has an undefined slope" so line L is any vertical line.

Anything perpendicular to this vertical line will be horizontal. So line M is horizontal.

Horizontal lines are of the form y = k for some fixed number k. The only thing that fits is choice B) y = 7 where k = 7 in this case.

Choice A graphs out a diagonal line, choice C graphs a vertical line, while choice D graphs out a hyperbola. These facts are why we can eliminate these non-answers.

Answer: Choice B) y = 7
