The answer is 100.

If acid precipitation rain changes the ph of a pond from 7.5 to 5.5, the level of hydrogen ion has changed by a factor of 100.

What is acid rain?

Rain or any other form of precipitation that is unusually acidic, that is, with high quantities of hydrogen ions, is referred to as acid rain (low pH). While the neutral pH range for most water, including drinking water, is between 6.5 and 8.5, acid rain often has a pH between 4-5. The pH of acid rain decreases with increasing acidity. Infrastructure, marine life, and plants can all be harmed by acid rain. Sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions cause acid rain by reacting with the water molecules in the atmosphere to create acids.

It has been demonstrated that acid rain negatively affects soils, freshwaters, forests, microorganisms, insects, and aquatic life-forms. [3] Ecosystems with persistent acid rain have less resilient tree bark, making the flora more vulnerable to environmental stresses including drought, extreme heat or cold, and pest infestation. By depleting soil of elements like calcium and magnesium, which are important for plant growth and soil health, acid rain can also harm the makeup of the soil. In addition to having an effect on human health, acid rain also causes paint to peel, corrosion of steel structures like bridges, weathering of stone buildings and statues, and weathering of painted surfaces.

Don marquis thinks abortion is almost always wrong because (most) fetuses loose a bright and valuable future.

What is Abortion?

The term "abortion" refers to the removal or evacuation of an embryo or fetus in order to end a pregnancy. Miscarriages, also known as "spontaneous abortions," are abortions that take place naturally and happen in 30% to 40% of pregnancies. An induced abortion, or less frequently "induced miscarriage," is when pregnancy is intentionally ended. Abortion, when used without modification, typically refers to an induced abortion.

Induced abortion is one of the safest medical treatments when performed correctly. The probability of maternal death in the US is 14 times lower following an induced abortion than following childbirth. Unsafe abortions—those carried out by practitioners without the required training or in circumstances with insufficient resources.

Materials are able to move across a cell membrane through one of two methods: active transport or passive transport. What is the
zloy xaker [14]
Essentially the answer is in the names. Active transport requires energy to facilitate to movement of the materials while passive transport is something like osmosis which is when the material moves based on concentration in an effort to create equality between the two sides. Basically passive is when the materials move under the own power.

bezimeni [28]
The correct answer is "increased activity of the right hippocampal formation".
Hippocampus is a brain area which is part of the limbic system and is located below the cerebral cortex. Humans have two hippocampi, one in each side of the brain. Hippocampus is responsible for the formation of long-term memories, by participating in the consolidation of short-term to long-term memory. It also plays a very important role in spatial memory and orientation.
The task that this experienced cab-driver is asked to perform is related to spatial navigation and orientation abilities. The right hippocampus has been shown to participate in the formation of memory for locations in specific environments, while the left hippocampus has been shown to be involved in autobiographical and episodic memory. As a result, the PET scan will show an increased activity of the right hippocampus.
