On the basis of temperature, the atmosphere is divided into strata. The troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, and thermosphere are these layers.

Each layer in the Earth's atmosphere has unique characteristics. These layers, which rise from the surface of the earth, are known as the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, and exosphere. Over time, the exosphere eventually disappears into interplanetary space. The temperature varies from -185 degrees Fahrenheit (-120 degrees Celsius) at the top boundary to - 5 degrees Fahrenheit (- 15 degrees Celsius) near the boundary with the stratosphere. With altitude, the tropospheric atmosphere's temperature drops. At lower altitudes of the layer, the air in the troposphere is denser than at higher levels, where it is thinner.

Which of the following elements will tend to form an anion?
saul85 [17]

Answer:

D. Silicon

Explanation:

A anion is a negatively charge ion resulting from the imbalance of protons and neutrons where there are more electrons than protons. Silicon has 4 valence electrons and is more likely to form an ionic bond with another atom(s) that will give it the 4 electrons it needs to become stable.
