They did not secure it by themselves, and in the end the colony is a failed learning experience and not a success. they relied upon the powhatan native americans for food because the colony was created for money and they had no survival/agricultural plan for sustaining life.

The colonists, the first group of whom had originally arrived on May 13, 1607, had never planned to grow all of their own food. Their plans depended upon trade with the local Powhatan to supply them with food between the arrivals of periodic supply ships from England.

How much of the land in Japan is good for agriculture? I would like a relative region, e.g. North, south, northwest, etcetera.
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

About 15-20 percent is suitable for Agriculture in which the majority is from the North which accounts for about 10-12 percent.

Japan is an island country and it is affected by currents most of the time. These currents cause severe typhoons which hamper a mass agricultural production in the country. This is why Japan relies heavily on imported food products.

Could a photograph be considered a primary source. Why or why not
ruslelena [56]
Yes, because it's a picture taken of the event. You know a secondary source is something that DID NOT take part of or witness the event, so a Primary source is something that DID take part of, or witness the event. So a picture would be a Primary source.
