Mary should charge $8.0 per ounce.

From the question the herbal tea is a blend of 2 kinds of mint:

75% spearmint- $2.25

25% peppermint-$ 2.75.

The  cost of producing one ounce is:

75% spearmint- $2.25 + 25% peppermint-$ 2.75. =$5

The cost of the tea if it is to be sold 1.6 times will be calculated thus;

$5×1.6= $8.0

To get the new cost of the mint tea blend, the old cost is thus, multiplied by 1.6. This gives us the new cost of the mint tea blend.

Therefore cost per ounce will be $8.0

(b) dy/dx = (x - y+ 1)^2
Elanso [62]

Substitute v(x)=x-y(x)+1, so that

\dfrac{\mathrm dv}{\mathrm dx}=1-\dfrac{\mathrm dy}{\mathrm dx}

Then the resulting ODE in v(x) is separable, with

1-\dfrac{\mathrm dv}{\mathrm dx}=v^2\implies\dfrac{\mathrm dv}{1-v^2}=\mathrm dx

On the left, we can split into partial fractions:

\dfrac12\left(\dfrac1{1-v}+\dfrac1{1+v}\right)\mathrm dv=\mathrm dx

Integrating both sides gives

\dfrac{\ln|1-v|+\ln|1+v|}2=x+C

\dfrac12\ln|1-v^2|=x+C

1-v^2=e^{2x+C}

v=\pm\sqrt{1-Ce^{2x}}

Now solve for y(x):

x-y+1=\pm\sqrt{1-Ce^{2x}}

\boxed{y=x+1\pm\sqrt{1-Ce^{2x}}}

What's 6/7 written as a fraction with a denominator of 42? A. 36/42 b. 7/42 c. 42/42 d. 6/42
7nadin3 [17]

Pls mark Brainliest.

Answer:

A. 36/42

Step-by-step explanation:

What do you multiply 7 by to get 42?

6. That is what the denominator was multiplied by, and so, the equivalent fraction must have a numerator that is 6 times larger than the original.

6 is the numerator so the numerator of the equivalent fraction with denominator 42 must be 36 since 6 * 6 = 36/

Lynn is making custom bricks. She combines 39 pounds of water and 48 pounds of brick dust in a mixing bucket. She spills 13 poun
artcher [175]

Answer:

A. 10 bricks

B. 4 pounds

Step-by-step explanation:

Water = 39 pounds

brick dust = 48 pounds

Total mixture = water + brick dust

= 39 + 48

= 87 pounds

She spills 13 pounds of the mixture while stirring

Remaining mixture = Total mixture - Spillage

= 87 pounds - 13 pounds

= 74 pounds

The mixture is then poured into small dirt holes to make bricks. Each brick requires 7 pounds of mixture

Number of bricks made = Remaining mixture / pounds per brick

= 74 pounds / 7 pounds

= 10 bricks remaining 4 pounds of the mixture

A. What is the greatest number of bricks Lynn can make?

10 bricks

B. How many pounds of mixture will be washed out of the bucket if Lynn makes the greatest number of bricks?

4 pounds
