Workplace behavior is a pattern of action by the members of an organization that either directly or indirectly influences organizational effectiveness.

An organizational member's pattern of behavior at work can have a direct or indirect impact on the effectiveness of the organization. The group of work-related behaviors that an individual must exhibit to uphold the psychological contract with the organization is known as performance behaviors. The term "workplace behavior" refers to the way your employees interact with customers, how they treat one another, and how they carry out their daily tasks.

Workplace conduct is based on an individual's performance—how they carry out their duties and complete their assigned tasks. A successful organization needs employees who are not only knowledgeable and well-trained but also in positions that play to their strengths and weaknesses.
