We have to apply the trigonometric formula:

Cos b = adjacent side / hypotenuse

Where b is the angle ( 30), adjacent side is AY (missing side) and the hypotenuse is RY=48 cm.

Replacing:

Cos 30 = AY / 48

Solve for AY

AY = Cos 30° (48)

AY = 41.57 cm = 24 √3 cm

55° is equal to 0.9599 radians.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

If an angle is represented in degrees, it will be of the form x°.

If an angle is represented in radians, it will be of the form \frac{\pi}{x}radians.

To convert degrees to radians, we multiply the degree measure by \frac{\pi}{180}.

For the conversion of degrees to radians,

the degrees in radians = (given value in degrees)(\frac{\pi}{180}).

Step 2:

To convert 50°,

55\left(\frac{\pi}{180}\right)=\frac{55\pi}{180}.

0.3055 (\pi) =0.9599 radians.

So 55° is equal to 0.9599 radians.

How do you get the answer88-43.7
koban [17]
Since 88 has no decimal, you would but a zero behind it and then subtract. You have to borrow from the 8 (make it a 7) and make zero 10. Then subtract. 10-7=3, 7-3=4, 8-4=4. Your answer will be 44.3

Find the missing factor BBB that makes the equality true. -35x^6=(-5x^2)(B)−35x 6 =(−5x 2 )(B)minus, 35, x, start superscript, 6
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

B=7x^4

Step-by-step explanation:

The given equality is

-35x^6=(-5x^2)B

Take the term (-5x^2) to the left hand side. This means the term -35x^6 will be divided by (-5x^2)

\dfrac{-35x^6}{(-5x^2)}=B

Now since both the numerator and denominator have negative sign the value of fraction will be positive.

\dfrac{35x^6}{(5x^2)}=B

Now 5\times 7=35 and x^{6-2}=x^4

7x^4=B

So, the missing factor B=7x^4

Evaluate the following if k=0.5, n=-3, and p=-2: K+n(p^2)
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

-11.5

Step-by-step explanation:

K + n( {p}^{2} ) \\  \\ plug \: K = 0.5, \: n =  - 3, \: p =  - 2 \\  \\ K + n( {p}^{2} )  \\  \\  = 0.5 + ( - 3) \{ {( - 2)}^{2}  \} \\  \\  = 0.5 - 3 \{ 4 \} \\  \\  = 0.5 - 12 \\  \\  =  - 11.5

Please help this question.
sergejj [24]

Answer:

a). 59.049°C

b). 2.1179 seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

Expression representing the final temperature after decrease in temperature of the metal from 100°C to T°C is,

T = 100(0.9)^{x}

where x = duration of cooling

a). Temperature when x = 5 seconds

T = 100(0.9)⁵

  = 59.049

  ≈ 59.049°C

b). If the temperature of the metal decreases from 100°C to 80°C

Which means for T = 80°C we have to calculate the duration of cooling 'x' seconds

80 = 100(0.9)^{x}

0.8 = (0.9)^{x}

By taking log on both the sides

log(0.8) =log[(0.9)^{x}]

-0.09691 = x[log(0.9)]

-0.09691 = -0.045757x

x = \frac{0.09691}{0.045757}

x = 2.1179

x ≈ 2.1179 seconds
