  • x = a( y - h )² + k

  • y = 2(z-2)²- 9

Where the coordinate of the vertex of this parabola is ( 9, 2 ).

Hence we can conclude that z = 2(y-9)²-2 and y = 2(z-2)²-9 are the correct equation of a parabola.
