John had 4.8 gallons of milk in the first container and 2.4 gallons of milk in the second container

<h3>How to find the gallons of milk in each container originally</h3>

The first container of milk contains twice as much milk as the second container of milk

let the quantity of milk in the first container be x

let the quantity of milk in the second container be y

x = 2y

After John uses 2 gallons of milk from the second container and 3 gallons from the first, the first contains 4.5 times as much milk as the second

x - 3 gallons = 4.5 (y - 2 gallons)

x - 3 = 4.5(y - 2)

x - 3 = 4.5y - 9

x = 4.5y - 6

substituting the value of x

2y = 4.5y - 6

4.5y - 2y = 6

2.5y = 6

y = 2.4 gallons

x = 2y = 4.8 gallons

A need help Dilations-He Said, She Said (12/10)
Elodia [21]

Answer:

We conclude that the original triangle ΔDEF is dilated by a scale factor of 5/2 to get the image triangle ΔD'E'F'.

Therefore, 'Cárl' is correct. Hence, option 'a' is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Checking the location of the vertices of the original triangle ΔDEF

  • D(-2, 4)
  • E(2, 4)
  • F(0, 2)

Checking the location of the dilated vertices of the image triangle ΔD'E'F'

  • D'(-5, 10)
  • E'(5, 10)
  • F'(0, 5)

Notice that if we multiply the vertices of the original triangle ΔDEF by 5/2, we get the correct image vertices of image triangleΔD'E'F'

i.e.

D(-2, 4) → D'(5/2 (-2), 5/2 (4))  → D'(-5, 10)

E(2, 4) → E'(5/2 (2), 5/2(4))  → D'(5, 10)

F(0, 2) → E'(5/2 (0), 5/2(2))  → F'(0, 5)

Thus, we conclude that the original triangle ΔDEF is dilated by a scale factor of 5/2 to get the image triangle ΔD'E'F'.

Therefore, 'Cárl' is correct. Hence, option 'a' is correct.

Convert Decimal to Percent<br>0.175 = 17.5<br>0.14 =<br>0.86 =<br>0.21 =<br>0.178 =<br>0.81 =<br>
Komok [63]

0.175 = 17.5%

0.14 = 14 %

0.86 = 86%

0.21 = 21%

0.178 = 17.8%

0.81 = 81%

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO FIND THE PERCENTAGE IS MOVE THE POINT TWO (2) PLACES TO THE RIGHT FROM IT'S PREVIOUS POSITION...

The point-slope form:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

The formula of a slope:

m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

We have the points A(-2, 6) and B(2, -2). Substitute:

m=\dfrac{-2-6}{2-(-2)}=\dfrac{-8}{4}=-2\\\\y-6=-2(x-(-2))\\\\\boxed{y-6=-2(x+2)}\to\boxed{(B)}
