Where does Byron spend his last night in Michigan? [The Watsons Go To Birmingham]
Llana [10]

Answer:

Byron spends his last night in Michigan in his parents' room.

Explanation:

"The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 1963" is a novel by author Christopher Paul Curtis. Byron is the oldest son of Momma and Dad Watson. He is a bully at school and gets into so much trouble that his parents end up making a difficult decision. They are all going to Birmingham, Alabama, to visit. Byron, however, will have to stay there for the whole summer. Before they leave, on their last night in Michigan, Byron is forced by his parents to sleep in their room with them.

Back in 1963, the Civil Rights Movement was grand, but so was the repression against it. And Birmingham was a city where confrontation between protesters and officers would get quite bloody. It may sound strange for parents to send their son there, but Dad says Byron needs to learn about real life, about the right things.

The process by which humans learn the rules, customs, skills, and values to participate in a society is called?
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

The process by which humans learn the rules, customs, skills, and values to participate in a society is called Enculturation

This is further explained below.

What is Enculturation ?

Generally, Enculturation is the process by which individuals learn the dynamics of the culture in which they are immersed and acquire the values and standards that are acceptable or required to that culture and the worldviews that it espouses.

Parents, other adults, and peers are examples of the kind of people that might have a limiting, directing, or shaping effect on a person as part of this process.

A group of people who engage in consistent social interaction is known as a society.

In conclusion, Enculturation is the term given to the process through which human beings acquire the norms, practices, competencies, and beliefs necessary to take part in a community.

Explain five ways by which man can adapt the environment to his needs

Oksana_A [137]

Explanation:

The best way is to give the environment over entirely to the fossil-fuel industry to exploit for its “needs.” The horrific human arrogance that holds that our species has “dominion” over the Earth has produced the worst catastrophe in human history. So please, go ahead and continue to believe that “man” can and should “adapt the environment to his needs.” We are doomed now, since governments have been reluctant to act to reduce fossil-fuel use. WE are not - repeat: NOT - the only forms of life on the planet. Moreover, contrary to the wicked pronouncements of religions, especially Christianity, WE do not - repeat, NOT - have “dominion” over the Earth. Hope that answer is satisfactory for this question. If not, please go to the Internet and watch videos of California in flames, Bangladesh in strangling floods, and do read the last article of Bill McKibben, one of the great climate-change journalists in the world, and see that we are now going over the cliff, thanks to the monstrous Republican regime in the US, with the aid of other countries, to extinction. It is not so much that WE matter. There are many other species on Earth and human beings have succeeded now in wiping out 60 percent of them.
