Different codes for access code which are available are: 4000

_ _ _ _

1 2 3 4

1st blank can be filled with the following possibilities, here the conditions are:

1)The first digit cannot be 4

2)The first digit cannot be 0 also since it makes the access code 3 digits hence

From 1 to 9 except 4 there are  8 possible ways to fill that blank

<u>8</u>

2nd blank can be filled with any number between 0 to 9 in 10 possible ways

<u>8</u> <u>10 </u>

3rd blank can be filled with any number between 0 to 9 in 10 possible ways

<u>8</u> <u>10</u> <u>10</u>

4th blank can be filled with any odd numbers between 0 to 10 - 1,3,5,7,9

<u>8</u> <u>10</u> <u>10</u> <u>5</u> = 8 x 10 x 10 x 5 = 4000

Hence to conclude that 4000 available codes are there for the access security card

A 0.1 kg block of brass is cooled until it releases 56.4 J of heat. If the temperature of the block was 5 K initially, what is i
Zolol [24]

Answer:

3.5 K

Explanation:

When a sample of a substance releases heat energy, its temperature decreases according to the equation:

Q=mC(T_f-T_i)

where

Q is the heat energy released

m is the mass of the substance

C is the specific heat capacity

T_i is the initial temperature

T_f is the final temperature

For the block of brass in this problem, we have:

m = 0.1 kg is the mass

Q = -56.4 J is the heat energy released (negative since it is released)

C = 380 J/kg K is the specific heat capacity of brass

T_i=5 K is the initial temperature

Solving for T_f, we find the final temperature:

T_f=T_i + \frac{Q}{mC}=5+\frac{-56.4}{(0.1)(380)}=3.5 K
