How would that affect his rate of change? Would Sam pay more or less than Carmen Carmen buys a new bicycle. Her weekly payment plan is shown in the table. Sam also buys a new bicycle. His weekly payment plan is shown in the graph. Find The amount Carmen owes decreases by $50 each week, so her rate of change The amount Sam owes decreases by $25 each week, so his rate of change is --$25. the rate of change for each function and Graph Carmen's function on the same grid as Sam's 2 How does the graph show that the rate of change

(1) The graph shows Sam's payments in blue while that of Carmen is shown in orange color.

(2) The graph shows that the rate of change is negative because it slopes downwards from left to right, which means as the weeks go by, the amount paid decreases. The amount paid is on the y axis while the weeks is on the x axis. As y moves up in the positive direction, x moves towards the left in the negative direction.

(3) I Sam decides to pay in two equal weekly payments, then his payment plan would be $62.5 per week and hence the graph of his payment plan would be steeper than the two currently on the coordinate grid.

ABCD is a parallelogram. If AB = 3x and CD = x+10, find AB
Readme [11.4K]

A parallelogram by definition is a four-sided figure with opposite sides that are parallel.

If that's the case, the length of opposite sides should be the same as well, meaning that:

AB=CD

then,

\begin{gathered} 3x=x+10 \\ \text{solve for x} \\ 3x-x=10 \\ 2x=10 \\ x=\frac{10}{2} \\ x=5 \end{gathered}

find AB

\begin{gathered} AB=3x \\ AB=3\cdot5 \\ AB=15 \end{gathered}

I Need some help on this assignment Also the second half to the problem how much will be spent on the job from the 10 to 20th da
Alona [7]

Explanation

f(x)=4.1x+1.9

where x is the number of days since the start of the job

and f(x) is the rate of change

Step 1

a)find the total expenditure if the job takes 12 days

so, as x represents the number of days, just replace and calculate

let x= 12

\begin{gathered} f(x)=4.1x+1.9 \\ f(12)=4.1(12)+1.9 \\ f(12)=49.2+1.9 \\ f(12)=51.1 \end{gathered}

so

a) 51.1

Step 2

now, let's find the total spent on the job from the 10 to 20th day

a) find the x value ( number of days since the job started)

x= 20 days-10dys= 10

so

x= 10

WILL GIVE LOTS OF POINTS HELP SOLVE SOON, NUMBER 7
Nadusha1986 [10]

Answer: 4x + 3 = 39

Step-by-step explanation:

Because you don't know how much each pizza costs, you can write it as x.

You multiply x by 4 to get 4x and add 3 because thats how much the chips cost.

That added up should equal 39 because thats how much he spent.
