The probability that the dart lands in centre is = √2-1.

What is probability?

 • The area of mathematics known as probability deals with numerical representations of the likelihood that an event will occur or that a statement is true.
 • An event's probability is a number between 0 and 1, where, roughly speaking, 0 denotes the event's impossibility and 1 denotes certainty.
 • The likelihood that an event will occur increases with its probability.
 • A straightforward illustration is tossing a fair (impartial) coin.
 • The chance of both outcomes ("heads" and "tails") is equal because the coin is fair, "heads" is more likely than "tails," there are no other conceivable outcomes, and the likelihood of either outcome is half.

acc to our question-,

 • Let the side of octagon be r
 • exterior angle of octagon = 360/8 = 45
 • So interior angle = 180 -45 = 135
 • So all the triangles will have 45-90-45 combinations
 • c sides of triangles = r/2√r/2
 • Calculate the total area of octagon and the area of central square
 • Probability = area of square /area of octagon = r2/(r2+r2+22√+r2)r2/(r2+r2+22+r2)
 • = 1/(2+22√)
 • take 2 common and multiply and divide by

hence,The probability that the dart lands in centre is = √2-1.

Find all polar coordinates of point P = (6, 31°).
wel

as far as I can tell, is just a matter of going around the circle many or infinite times around.

so 6,31° is the first point, the next point will be one-go-around, 6, 31+360 => 6, 391°

then the next will be 6, 391+360 => 6, 751° and so on.

so we can say is (6, 31° ±360°n), n ∈ ℤ.

Mumz [18]

Question is incomplete, here is the complete question below:

Three students were given the expression shown and were asked to take a common factor out of two of the terms.

Use the drop-down menus to complete the statements about whether each student's answer is an equivalent expression. Then choose an expression that is equivalent.

7-8x+22

Calvin: 7−2(4x+11)

Calvin's expression is (correct/incorrect) because .............

Greg: 7+14x

Greg's expression is (correct/incorrect) because ............

Ruben: 7+2(4x+11)

Ruben's expression is (correct/incorrect) because .

Equivalent Expression

The correct simplification of this expression is ...............

Answer:

The correct simplification of this expression is 7-2(4x-11)

Step-by-step explanation:

Calvin: 7−2(4x+11)

Calvin's expression is incorrect because if -2 is taken as common term then sign (+) should also be changed to (-)

i.e. 7−2(4x+11) produces 7-8x-22 which is not equivalent to 7-8x+22

Greg: 7+14x

Greg's expression is incorrect because 7+14x is not equivalent to 7-8x+22

Ruben: 7+2(4x+11)

Ruben's expression is incorrect because 7+2(4x+11) =7+8x+22 which is not equivalent to 7-8x+22

Equivalent Expression is 7-2(4x-11)

The correct simplification of this expression is 7-2(4x-11)

Which pair shows equivalent expressions? 3 (x + 2) = 3 x + 6 3 x + 2 x = x squared (3 + 2) 3 x + 2 = 3 (x + 2) Negative 3 (2 + x
kogti [31]

Answer:

The first pair shows equivalent expressions.

Step-by-step explanation:

3(x+2), you would have to distribute 3 among x and 2, also known as expanding the expression. So you'd do 3*x + 3*2, which equals 3x+6

The first equation is 3(x+2)=3x+6

Therefore, the first pair shows equivalent expressions.
