The correct answer is 9.45 kg.

The formula for calculating the density of an object is expressed as:

Density = mass / volume

Given :

Density = 150kg/m³

Volume of the sphere = negligible

r is the radius = 50/2 = 25cm = 0.25m

We can find the volume of the Styrofoam sphere by

=(4/3)πr³

Volume (V) = (4/3)*π*(0.25)³

Volume = 0.063 cm³

Now let us find the required mass:

Mass = density * volume

Mass = 150 * 0.063

Mass = 9.45 kg

Therefore, the maximum mass that can hang without sinking from a 50.0 cm -diameter Styrofoam sphere in water is 9.45 kg.

A machine had a mechanical advantage of 4.5 what force is out out by the machine if the force applied to the machine is 800n
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer;

D. 3600 N

Explanation;

Mechanical advantage is the ratio of force output from a machine divided by the force input into the machine.

That is;

Mechanical advantage = Output Force/Input Force

In this case;

Input force = 800 N

Thus;  Output force = M. A × input force

                                 = 4.5 × 800

                                 = 3600 N

Therefore; the output force by the machine is 3600 N

Two identical masses, A and B, slide down frictionless ramps, both starting at a height of 3M above the ground. Object A slides
balu736 [363]

Answer: c. Neither, they have the same speed.

In both the cases, there will be work done by the gravitational force. Since, the gravitational force is a conservative force, its work done does not depend on the path as it only depends on the initial and final position of the objects. Since, the initial and final positions are same for both the objects, the work done by gravitational force will be same in both the cases.

Hence, Work done by gravitational force = Change in the kinetic energy

So, the kinetic energy will be same for both the object.

Since, the masses are same: Kinetic energy = \frac{1}{2}mv^2

Hence, the speed will also be same for both the objects.

Correct option: C

When making fitness purchases what should you not do?
astraxan [27]

Of these options the one which best answers the question is 'Use whatever professionals claim to use.'
It is not that professional recommendations should not be consired or valued. The reason you should not just use whatever professionals claim to use is that their needs, as professionals, may be very different from your own. In order to know whether your own needs will be met you need to know what those needs are and whether the product meets those needs. All of the other options given would help you to figure this out, but the testimony of professionals would not.

A convex lens of focal length 25 cm is in contact with a concave lens of focal length 50 cm. The equivalent focal length of this
Gwar [14]

The equivalent focal length of this combination-lenses should be +50 cm.

Given:

Focal length of convex lens, f₁ = +25 cm

Focal length of concave lens, f₂ = -50 cm

Calculation:

We know that the power of a lens is given as:

P = 1 / f

where, f is the focal length of lens

Now, the power of convex lens can be calculated as:

P₁ = 1/f₁

  = 1/(25×10⁻² m)

  = 100/25

  = +4 D

Similarly, the power of concave lens can be calculated as:

P₂ = 1/f₂

    = (1/-50×10⁻² m)

    = -100/50

    = -2 D

Thus, the power of the combined lenses can be calculated as:

P₍₁₊₂₎ = P₁ + P₂

       = +4 D - 2 D

       = +2 D

Now, the combined focal length of the lens can be calculated as:

f₍₁₊₂₎ = 1 / P₍₁₊₂₎

      = 100 / 2 D

      = +50 cm

Therefore, the equivalent focal length of this combination-lenses will be +50 cm.

What are the characteristics of low energy waves
Degger [83]
Some characteristics I think would include that low energy waves have a greater distance between the points on the crest or points on trough in the wave. Greater, longer wavelength. Thus lower frequency hence less energy provided through the wave. The amplitude for low energy waves is less than that of high energy waves. Basically the height of the wave.
