An equation that represents the depth of snow on Audrey's lawn, in inches, t hours after the snow stopped falling is S = 10 - 2t

In this question, there was a depth of 10 inches of snow on the lawn when the storm ended and then it started a melting at a rate of 2 inches per hour.

We need to write an equation for S in terms of t, snow representing the depth of snow on Audrey's lawn, in inches, t hours after the snow stopped falling.

So, the equation would be,

S = 10 - 2t

Therefore,  an equation that represents the depth of snow on Audrey's lawn, in inches, t hours after the snow stopped falling is S = 10 - 2t

3. A submarine dives at an
Vesna [10]

Answer:

The height of deepness of submarine is 424.1 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The angle at which submarine drives of the surface of water = Ф = 13°

The speed at which submarine travel = s = 760 feet per minute

Let The height of deepness of submarine = h feet

The time taken to reach that deepness = t = 5 minutes

<u>According to question</u>

The height of deepness of submarine = \dfrac{\textrm speed}{\textrm time}

i.e h × cos(90 - Ф) = \dfrac{s}{t}

Or,  h × Sin(Ф) = \dfrac{\textrm 760 feet per min}{8 min}

Or,  h × Sin(13°) = 95 feet

Or,   h × 0.224 = 95 feet

∴  h = \dfrac{95}{0.224}

i.e h = 424.10 feet

So, The height of deepness of submarine = h = 424.10 feet

Hence, The height of deepness of submarine is 424.1 feet  Answer

You have learned several methods for solving a system of equations. First, rank the methods in order of preference, noting which
kifflom [539]
Methods for solving a system of equations:
- elimination
- substitution
- augmented matrix

Ranks of method ( number one being the most preferred method)
1) elimination
2) substitution
3) augmented matrix

Elimination is my preferred method because it is simple and easy to work out and hard to get wrong.

Augmented matrix is my least preferred method because it is easy to get wrong and it requires complex steps to solve a simple equation.

Hope this helps ;)
