Precambrian period ends at the first sign of complex life about 540 million years ago. About 540 million years ago, the Precambrian age came to an end with the appearance of complex life.

What about Precambrian period?

 • The vast majority of earth's history occurs during the Precambrian period, which began with the planet's birth approximately 4.5 billion years ago and ended with the appearance of complex, multi-celled life forms nearly four billion years later.
 • The earth's surface at this time resembled traditional depictions of Hades: there were craters everywhere and oceans of liquid rock.
 • All across the place, volcanoes erupt, while asteroids and boulders continue to fall from orbit.
 • In the first great extinction, which occurred around 650 million years ago, 70% of the dominating Precambrian flora and animals perished.
 • Three major groups that have survived to the present day are represented in the fossil record of multi cellular organisms from the Precambrian.
 • These include sponges, cnidarians (such as corals, jellyfish, and sea anemones), and annelids, or segmented flatworms.

What would happen if another substance competed for the enzyme active site?
Lelu [443]
That's what is called competitive enzymatic regulation. If there are more of that substance than the enzyme substrate, then most of the enzyme, if not all depending on the substance's concentration, will be inhibited on its action. If there are more substrate then the competitive substance, the expected reaction for that enzyme will happen at an expected rate. If the ratio substrate:substance is 1:1 then the reaction enzyme-substrate is very slowed down.

Why do volcanoes occur most often near plate tectonics?
dem82 [27]
Diverging plate boundaries, earthquakes occur as the plates pull away from each other. Volcanoes also form as magma rises upward from the underlying mantle along the gap between the two plates. We almost never see these volcanoes, because most of them are located on the sea floor.
