We know that a square room has dimensions of 8ft by 8ft. To find the perimeter we have to use the formula 

$P=2(l+w)$

The perimeter of a rectangle is the distance around the outside of the rectangle. So  Side A + Side B + Side A + Side B. Side A would be same and Side B will be same. 


$P=2(l+w)$ 

$P = 2(8+8)$ 

$P = (16+16)$ 

$P = 32$
