I believe by using
a ^{2}  + b ^{2}  = c ^{2}   \:  \:  \:  \:  \: you \: will \: plug \: in \: 1 \: for \: a \: and \: b \: then \: find \: the \: square \: root \\you will plug in 1 for A and B then you will find the square root of the number you get after you square A and B and add them together. then you should have your answer

The formula for finding the area of a square that has a side length, s, is A= 52. If a square has an area of 40 square
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

2√10

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following data;

Area of square = 40

Mathematically, the area of a square is calculated by using the formula;

Area, A = s²

Where;

s is the length of sides of a square.

Substituting into the formula, we have;

40 = s²

s = √40

s = √4 * √10

s = 2 * √10

s = 2√10

The equation y=8.50x + 33 can be used to estimate the monthly premium y of a $250,000 term life insurance policy for a male smok
lara [203]

Answer:

$101

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

y = 8.50x + 33

x \to age above 40

Required

Insurance for 48 years old

First, we solve for x

x = 48 - 40

x = 8

So, we have:

y = 8.50x + 33

y = 8.50 * 8 + 33

y = 68 + 33

y = 101

<h3>The length of legs of isosceles right triangle is 8.5 cm</h3>

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given is a isosceles triangle

hypotenuse = 12 cm

In an isosceles right triangle, the legs have equal lengths

Let these sides be each  "a" cm

By pythogoras theorem,

(Hypotenuse)^2  =  (leg)^2  +  (leg)^2\\\\12^2 = a^2+a^2\\\\2a^2 = 144\\\\a^2 = 72\\\\Take\ square\ root\ on\ both\ sides\\\\a = \sqrt{72}\\\\a = 8.49 \approx 8.5

Thus the length of leg of  isosceles right triangle is 8.5 cm
