⇒The slope of the line is the gradient of the line. Now to find the gradient of the line from the formula we normally have to use two point that are in the line (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) .

⇒The first step for you is to choose which two points you are going to use to find the slope of the line. I will use (2,1) and  (6,12)

⇒The formula to calculate the slope of the line is given by

m=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}  }{x_{2} -x_{1} }

m is a variable that represent the variable.

m=\frac{12-1}{6-2} \\m=\frac{11}{4}

⇒Note you can use any points in the table as you would still get the same answer I got above.

Step-by-step explanation:

it is basically simple.

the slope is the ratio (y coordinate difference / x coordinate difference) when going from one point on the line to another.

in other words : when x changes a certain amount of units, how many units does then y change.

so, from e.g. (2, 1) to (6, 12) we see

x changes by +4 (from 2 to 6).

y charges by +11 (from 1 to 12).

so, the slope is +11/+4 = 11/4.

the same ratio applies to all the other point intervals in the table.

e.g. (10, 23) to (14, 34)

+4 (10 to 14)

+11 (23 to 34)

and so on.

so, the slope truly is 11/4.

What is the solution for the system of equations? y=−x+4 y= x−2
MissTica

Answer:

(3, 1 )

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the 2 equations

y = - x + 4 → (1)

y = x - 2 → (2)

Substitute y = x - 2 into (1)

x - 2 = - x + 4 ( add x to both sides )

2x - 2 = 4 ( add 2 to both sides )

2x = 6 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 3

Substitute x = 3 into either of the 2 equations and solve for y

Substituting into (2)

y = 3 - 2 = 1

solution is (3, 1 )

il63 [147K]

Answer:

\huge\boxed{13}

Step-by-step explanation:

= 2k - x

Given that k = 9, x = 5

= 2(9) - 5

= 18 - 5

= 13
