The pressure of 28 inches of mercury occurs about 6 miles from the eye of hurricane.

<h3>What is barometric air pressure?</h3>

In essence, atmospheric pressure is the force that the weight of the air above a particular point on the Earth's surface exerts at that location.

In other words, the weight of the air molecules as a whole determines the atmospheric pressure, which is produced by the air that surrounds the Earth.

Lower pressure is felt by air molecules at higher altitudes because there are fewer molecules pressing down on them from above, while higher pressure is felt by air molecules at lower altitudes because they are closer together and are under more pressure from molecules piled on top of them.

F(x) is the pressure in inches of mercury

It is given pressure 28 inches of mercury

Put F(x) equal to 28

F(x) = 0.48㏑(x+2) +27

28 = 0.48㏑(x+2) + 27

28-27= 0.48㏑(x+2)

1= 0.48㏑(x+2)

1/0.48= ㏑(x+2)

25/12= ㏑(x+2)

x+2= e^{\frac{25}{12} }

x+2=8.03119

x=8.03119-2

x= 6.03119

x = 6(round off)

A cone with a height of 50 meters has a volume of 5400π meters cubed. What is the radius of the cone?
disa [49]

Answer:

r = 18m

Step-by-step explanation:

h = 50 m

Volume of cone = 5400π m³

\frac{1}{3}\pi r^{2}h=5400\pi \\\\\\\frac{1}{3}\pi r^{2}*50=5400\pi \\\\\\r^{2}=\frac{5400* \pi *3 }{\pi * 50}\\\\\\r^{2}=108*3\\\\r^{2} = 324\\\\\\r=\sqrt{324}\\\\\\

r = 18 m

To dilute a solution that is 40% saline, a chemist combines it with a solution that is 15% saline. How much of each solution sho
KonstantinChe [14]

Answer:

60 ml of 40% saline and 90 ml of 15% saline

Step-by-step explanation:

We can call the amount of 40% solution x and the amount of 15% solution y.

x + y = 150 -- (1)

0.40x + 0.15y = 150 * 0.25 -- (2)  --- 150 * 0.25 = 37.5

40x + 15y = 3750 (Multiply (2) by 100 to get rid of decimals)

15x + 15y = 2250 -- (3) (Multiply (1) by 15)

25x = 1500           (Subtract (3) from (1)

x = 60

y = 150 - 60 = 90

Through: (4, 3), parallel to x = 0
Gekata [30.6K]
Let P (x,y) be any point on the x-axis. Then clearly, for all position of P we shall the same ordinate 0 or, y = 0. Therefore, the equation of x-axis is y = 0. If a straight line is parallel and below to x-axis at a distance b, then its equation is y = -b.
