In case, it is 2x-6x²+8x, Isolating all terms on the left side:

1) (2x-6x²+8x) =(2x +2)

2x-6x²+8x -2x -2 =0

-6x²+8x -2 =0

6x² -8x -2 =0

\begin{gathered} x=\frac{8\pm\sqrt[]{64-4(6)(-2)}}{12} \\  \\ x_1=\frac{2+\sqrt[]{7}}{3} \\ x_2=\frac{2-\sqrt[]{7}}{3}_{} \end{gathered}

2) In case, it is 2x²-6x²+8x. Isolating all terms on the left side.

2x²-6x²+8x =2x +2

-4x²+8x-2x -2=0

-4x² +6x -2 =0

4x²-6x+2=0

\begin{gathered} x=\frac{6\pm\sqrt[]{(36)-4(4)(2)}}{8} \\  \\ x_1=1 \\  \\ x_2=\frac{1}{2} \end{gathered}

Fernando has been saving money to buy an e-book reader. A store has just marked down the price of its readers by 40%. Each reade
murzikaleks [220]

Answer:

Fernado saves $90.

Step-by-step explanation:

40% of $150 ( original price ) = $60

$150 - $60 ( original price - discounted price ) = $90 ( savings )

The question asks about the 40% markdown only, so I'd assume you wouldn't reduce it by $25.

But if you did Fernando would save $115 :

40% of $150 ( original price ) = $60

$60 - $25 ( mail-in rebate ) = $35

$150 - $35 ( original price - discounted price ) = $115 ( savings )

Please help it’s very urgent and I need the right answer
8090 [49]

Answer:

3x + 15 = 3*10 + 15 = 30 + 15 = 45

<u>3x + 15 = 45</u>

Now,

2x + 25 = 2*10 + 25 = 20 + 25 = 45

<u>2x + 25 = 45</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

3x + 15 + 2x + 25 = 90

or, 5x + 40 = 90

or, 5x = 90 - 40

so, 5x = 50

so, x = 50/5 = 10
