Using system of linear equations, to have the same amount of revenue, both companies have to sell 100 albums, the value of x and y are -5 and 2 and the number of attendants for both adults and children are 241 and 220 respectively.

<h3>System of Linear Equation</h3>

A system of linear equations is the set of two or more linear equations involving the same variables. Here, linear equations can be defined as the equations of the first order, i.e., the highest power of the variable is 1. Linear equations can have one variable, two variables, or three variables. Thus, we can write linear equations with n number of variables.

  • x = number of songs downloaded

15 + 0.75x = 0.9x

solving for x

x = 100

The need to download 100 songs for the companies to charge same amount.

b)

To download 150 songs, the company with least amount of money will be

company A = 15 + 0.75(150) = 127.5

Company B = 0.9(150) = 135

Company A will suit better in this case.

Question 2:

4x + 4y = -12 ...eq(i)

3x - 4y = -23 ...eq(ii)

solving both equations

x = -5, y = 2

b)

x - y = -5 - 2 = -7

Question 3:

Let children = x and adults = y

3x  + 4y = 1624..eq(i)

x + y = 461 ..eq(ii)

solving both equations

x = 220 and y = 241

Find the annual interest rate. $I=\$160$ , $P=\$2000$ , $t=8$ months The annual interest rate is %.
Sedaia [141]

Answer:

1\%

Step-by-step explanation:

Simple interest (I) = $160

Principal amount (P) = $2000

Time period (t) = 8 months

Let R denotes rate of interest.

Relation between simple interest, principal amount, time and rate of interest  is given by I=\frac{PRT}{100}

160=\frac{2000(R)(8)}{100} \\\\160=160R\\R=1\%

Solve for x &amp; explain work?<br> 3/4 (2x+5)=5(x+12)
koban [17]

3/4(2x + 5) = 5(x + 12)

First get rid of any fractions by multiplying my the denominator

4 x 3/4(2x + 5) = 4 x 5(x + 12)

3(2x + 5) = 20(x + 12)

Then get rid of the parentheses

6x + 15 = 20x +240

Then simplify

6x + 15 - 15 = 20x + 240 - 15

6x = 20x + 225

6x - 20x = 20x - 20x + 225

-14x = 225

Now divide on both sides

-14x/-14 = 225/-14

x = -16
