T.S.A = 1/2 (pl) + B

where;

p= perimeter of the base

l= slant height

B= area of the base

From the diagram

l= 10 yard

P= 4(16) = 64 yard

B= 16 x 16= 256 yards

Substitute the value into the formula;

T.S.A = 1/2 (64)(10) + 256

=320 + 256

=576 inches²
