How many times more energy is produced by all three stages of cellular respiration than by glycolysis alone

Biology
1 answer:
Jlenok [28]1 year ago
7 0

The all three process of cellular respiration produces 18 times more ATP than glycolysis alone.

As there are 4 ATP produced in glycolysis from one molecule of glucose,2 from Krebs cycle, and rest 34 from electron transport chain.

These three process made total of 38 ATP

How do genetic modification variations likely to differ from genetic sexual reproduction variations
ololo11 [35]

Answer:

The  genetic modification variations result in the change in the genome of the organism. In this case, the variations result in expression of a trait in different form than usual. These variations results in genetic mutation, which can be inherited from one generation to another.

In sexual reproduction, the genome of the organism is not altered. In this only an exchange between the maternal and the maternal alleles takes place, these changes does not result in mutations.

You’re welcome :)

When earth completes a full rotation, how much time has elapsed?
DIA [1.3K]

The answer is; 24 hours.

Scientists called the full rotation of the earth a day and divided it into 24 hours on the clock. This means from sunrise to next sunrise. They also divided the earth into latitudes that indicate time zones. When one point on earth rotates and return to the same position in space, it has lapsed 24 hours.

Identify the major structures within the brain associated with generating and coordinating motor signals for body/skeletal muscl
Temka [501]

Answer:

2Major Structures and Functions of the Brain

Publication Details

Outside the specialized world of neuroanatomy and for most of the uses of daily life, the brain is more or less an abstract entity. We do not experience our brain as an assembly of physical structures (nor would we wish to, perhaps); if we envision it at all, we are likely to see it as a large, rounded walnut, grayish in color.

This schematic image refers mainly to the cerebral cortex, the outermost layer that overlies most of the other brain structures like a fantastically wrinkled tissue wrapped around an orange. The preponderance of the cerebral cortex (which, with its supporting structures, makes up approximately 80 percent of the brain's total volume) is actually a recent development in the course of evolution. The cortex contains the physical structures responsible for most of what we call ''brainwork": cognition, mental imagery, the highly sophisticated processing of visual information, and the ability to produce and understand language. But underneath this layer reside many other specialized structures that are essential for movement, consciousness, sexuality, the action of our five senses, and more—all equally valuable to human existence. Indeed, in strictly biological terms, these structures can claim priority over the cerebral cortex. In the growth of the individual embryo, as well as in evolutionary history, the brain develops roughly from the base of the skull up and out ward. The human brain actually has its beginnings, in the four-week-old embryo, as a simple series of bulges at one end of the neural tube.

Which process releases the highest amount of energy?
s2008m [1.1K]

Answer:

glycolysis

Explanation:

In the process of glycolysis only 2 molecules of ATP are produced. Maximum energy is released, when the reduced coenzymes produced in the process of Krebs cycle are oxidised in the process of oxidative phosphorylation in electron transport chain.
