The southern delegates to the Constitutional Convention were willing to accept the Three-Fifths Compromise because it increased the political influence of the South.

What is the Three-fifths compromise?

By the Three-fifths compromise, the Northern and Southern state's delegates at the United States Constitutional Convention of 1787 agreed that three-fifth of the population of slaves would be counted in determining representation and number of seats in the Congress.

It also would determine how much each state would pay in taxes.

The three-fifths compromise allowed Southern states more Representatives and more presidential electoral votes than if slaves had not been counted although slaves had no voting rights.

Therefore, the Three-fifths compromise increased the political influence of the South by granting them more representation and electoral power.

During the colonial hispanic-america, natural resources found in the extensive territory of current west and south west United States to South America were extracted or used. Spanish accounts of wonderful fruits (avocado) and other findings only led to more interest from the spanish crown to dominate the region, until the libertarian movement started by Simon Bolivar. Customs and art of natives were lost for more than 300 years.
