The Bering Strait is also known as central part of Beringia. First Americans lived Bering land bridge for fifteen thousand years until the last ice age ended. When the last ice age ended, the land bridge began to disappear into the sea, global sea level rose, this was about some thirteen thousand years ago according to archaeological evidences. There were genetic records and evidences of mutations in present day Asia and North America similar to those of the Bering Strait as observed from archeological studies.
