Which explains why Roosevelt offered U.S. naval support to Panamanian rebels fighting for independence from Colombia? The media

directed public attention to the unjust conditions that Panamanians suffered under Colombian rule. The Colombian government would not allow the United States to have control over the Panama Canal Zone. The U.S. government strategized to create an economic alliance with Panama to lower the cost of raw materials imported to the United States. Roosevelt wanted to secure Panama as a protectorate to extend the U.S. presence further south into Latin America.

The statement that explains why Roosevelt offered U.S. naval support to Panamanian rebels fighting for independence from Colombia is The Colombian government would not allow the United States to have control over the Panama Canal Zone. The United States helped Panama declare independence from Colombia, then negotiated for the canal. On November 3, 1903, Panama with United States Navy support revolted against Colombia and became a new republic. The U.S. gained the rights in perpetuity to the canal strip.

How did the industrial revolution impact imperialism? (5 points european population decreased, and workers were needed for the c
Maru [420]
The correct answer should be
European nations conquered other lands to gather natural resources needed to fuel industrialization

This was mostly done in Africa and Asia. The European countries would colonize these two continents and take resources away, anything they could get their hands on. If it wasn't fuel, then it would be things like diamonds or gold that could be traded for money for fuel.

Explain why the Missouri Compromise line did not provide a solution to the problem of California's' statehood.
Tema [17]

The Missouri Compromise (1820) was supposed to help settle the issue of slavery in the new territories acquired by the United States. In this compromise, the 36'30 line was established. Any new territory that was added to the US that was north of this line would be considered a free state. Any new territory that was added to the US that was south of this line would be considered a slave state. This line caused a significant problem for California because the 36'30 cut California into two pieces. At this time, having a half free half slave state was not an option. This is why this compromise did not solve the issue of California statehood.
