King Louis went from being referred to being beheaded because of his inability to resolve the financial problem in France.

It was due to the increased financial problems that the French people became devastated and actively took part in the French Revolution. As King Louis was unable to control the financial crises that occurred during his time, he was beheaded by a narrow majority of people.

King Louis was executed because he was found guilty of treason. He was labeled as being corrupt and also throwing the country under major financial crises.

His imposition of heavy taxes that made the lives of the citizens difficult also played a role in his getting beheaded.
