In the tertiary structure of a protein, an electrostatic interaction could form between the r-groups of (b) glu and arg amino acids.

Peptides and proteins are made up of chemicals or building blocks called amino acids. Each amino acid is made up of a tetrahedral carbon, a carboxyl group, and an amino group. The -carbon is the name given to this carbon (alpha-carbon).

The R groups on the side chains of amino acids are what separate them from one another. Each amino acid's R group will have a unique structure, electrical charge, and polarity.

An absolutely necessary amino acid called arginine has a positively charged guanidino group. The active centers of proteins that bind phosphorylated substrates frequently contain arginine because it is ideally suited to bind the phosphate anion.

Protein 1 carries a positive charge on the side chain of the amino acid arginine. Protein 2 has a negatively charged side chain of glutamic acid amino acids. Ionic bonding, or the attractive force between the positive and negative charge, is the most likely interaction between these two amino acids.

Which organisms transform nitrogen to a form that is useful to plants
Katen [24]
The answer is nitrogen-fixing bacteria.

Plants are not able to directly use atmospheric nitrogen. It must be converted into different form through a nitrogen cycle. In the process of nitrogen fixation, nitrogen fixing bacteria converts atmospheric nitrogen into ammonium. In the process of assimilation, plants incorporate ammonium into proteins.

Some legumes have a symbiotic relationship with bacteria that live in their root system. These bacteria are called Rhizobia and have the ability of nitrogen-fixation.

The process of meiosis results in daughter cells that are genetically different from the parent cell. What is the cause of this
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

The correct option is D. Crossing over and independent assortment are the causes of genetic variation.

Explanation:

In the process of meiosis, crossing over is a phenomenon through which exchange of genetic segments takes place among the homologous chromosomes.

The process of independent assortment describes how different genes assort differently during meiosis.

Both the process of crossing over and independent assortment are the basis of the genetic variations seen in the world.
