Answer:

Monocropping is the practice of growing only one type of agricultural crop in a large area.

Explanation:

*Monocroppong is the practice of growing only one type of agricultural crop in a large area of land*. *For example, the growing of only Cotton on a farmland*. Crops here are not mixed with other diverse crops, hence the name; Monocropping... ..A major advantage of Monocropping is that,*it is cheaper than mixed farming*.

Answer:

Reduction in genetic diversity in monoculture plants  reduces  resistance  to diseases, infection and pest  , therefore makes these plants   more susceptible to diseases and pests attacks., thus  low products yields and sustainability.

. Thus because of absence of genetic diversity as a result of cultivating the same type of crops, year in-year out, on the same piece of land, there is little chances of variation, which reduces diversity among the plants. Therefore if there is an outbreak of a particular diseases in the plant population, which  starts with a plant, assuming that the other plants were genetically different from the infected plants, they would developed resistance, and therefore  be able to resist and escape the diseases effects. However since they all have virtually similar genetic traits due to low diversity, the diseases will affects them all, with the likelihood of wiping out the entire population.

Thus sustainability  and product yield is also affected.

Naily [24]

Answer:

d. tissue

Explanation:

There are several levels of organization of life which starts from the functional unit of life called cell.Cells are made of a combination of macromolecules that consist of atoms. Several cells associate together to perform one or more specific functions at the tissue level. The tissue level is made up of similar cells that carry out similar task or functions. The robot’s cardiac cells that work together in synchrony could be considered at the tissue level.

What is the function of mRNA?
stich3 [128]

mRNA

Messenger RNA is used to copy and encode genetic information from DNA base pairs by forming complementary strand of RNA molecule from the nucleus of the cell to the cytoplasm.

tRNA

Transfer RNA reads sequence of nucleotide from messenger RNA and translate them into proteins or amino acids during proten synthesis.

Transcription

This is the first step in gene expression where information from DNA is copied into a complementary strand of RNA molecule using RNA polymerase enzyme.

Translation

Messenger RNA made from the process of transcription travels to the ribosomes in the cytoplasm where proteins are produced using transfer RNA to copy the information.

The use of DNA to make proteins.

Through gene expression (central dogma of biology), the DNA molecule carries information, a gene code, in form of base pairing sequences that are transcribed to RNA and further translated to functional proteins or amino acids.
