Answer:

to produce eggs

Explanation:

The larger pinecone are the female cones of the plant. They are responsible for producing eggs.

The male cones are yellow, formed by numerous scales, with bags full of pollen, the female cones are greenish formed by scales in which there are uncovered eggs.

In their maturation, male cones or catkins release millions of pollen grains to the wind, which are transported by the wind and fall into the female cones, fertilizing the eggs. Fertilized, the female cone closes forming the pinecone, inside which are the pine nuts, the product of the fertilized eggs. At the end of a year or so, the pine cone opens and lets the pine nuts fall, which disperse in the wind until they fall in a suitable place for their germination.

A muscle fiber develops its maximum tension when it is in what position at the moment it is stimulated?
viktelen [127]

Answer:

at its typical resting length.

Explanation:

Muscle fibers are elongated cells that can have one or more nuclei. They will form muscle tissues, which can be of three types: striated cardiac muscle, skeletal striated muscle or smooth muscle, each having its own functional and morphological characteristics. However, these types of muscle fibers have in common the ability to generate movement by contraction.

Contraction occurs at the moment of maximum tension of these muscle fibers and a muscle fiber develops its maximum tension when it is at its typical resting length before being stimulated.

<span>Answer: Turning from side to side will change the position of the catheter, thereby freeing the drainage holes of the tubing, which may be obstructed. Drinking a glass of water and deep breathing and coughing do not influence drainage of dialysate from the peritoneal cavity.
