The mean is the sum of the given data divided by the number of the data

So we will add the data first

The sum of the times = 10 + 5 + 6 + 8 + 13 + 9 + 11 = 62

The number of students = 7

The mean is

\frac{62}{7}=8.857142857

Round it to the nearest tenth, then

The mean = 8.9

The mean travel time is 8.9

Y is inversely proportional to x.
Inessa [10]

Answer:

1. xy = 63

2. y = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Variation: inverse Proportion

y = 7, x = 9

Required

- Write an equation connecting y and x

- Find y when x = 21

Given that thee variation is inversely proportional;

This implies that

y\ \alpha\ \frac{1}{x}

Convert variation to equation

y\ = \frac{k}{x} ----------- Equation 1

Where k is the constant of variation

Substitute 7 for y and 9 for x in equation 1

7 = \frac{k}{9}

Multiply both sides by 9

9 * 7 = 9 * \frac{k}{9}

63 = k

Substitute 63 for k in equation 1

y = \frac{63}{x}

Multiply both sides by x

x * y = \frac{63}{x} * x

xy = 63

Hence, the equation connecting x and y is xy = 63

Solving for when x = 21

Substitute 21 for x in the above equation

21 * y = 63

Divide both sides by 21

\frac{21 * y}{21} = \frac{63}{21}

y = 3

I believe it is neither

For one if you plug in either of them the first one is going to be negative 3. But if you use the second one then your answer would be -3+12= -10 but -3+12 is 9 so I would go with neither because I don't see how it's both

Nth term of the sequences....?<br>(a) 1, 4, 9, 16, 25 <br>(b) 3, 6, 11, 18, 27
denis-greek [22]
A. 36 as the numbers are adding by the next odd integer. An example is: 1–>4 is +3, 4–>9 is +5, 9–>16 is +7, and so on. This rule applies to both of our sequences.
b. 38.
Hope this helps :) brainly if possible so others can see.
