For current or former high-achieving, overachiever, perfectionist, and hard-working students: What are three things you wish you
could tell your younger, high-achieving self or other school kids who also have the same work ethic as you (basically other young perfectionists)? Multiple people can answer, and I will be marking brainliest on whoever has the best answer.
Answer: Aim: This study aimed to fill an important gap in the predominantly quantitative literature field by exploring how individuals with perfectionism understand the relationship between painful experiences and how they relate to other
1: that is doesn’t all have to be done to be work. Yes, it might be different for me as I am in Canada, but good quality work doesn’t mean that you have to finish doing all the formulas, explanations, and backing up all the reasons behind everything. So don’t stress it, or at least try to lift the pressure off of yourself when it feels like you can’t do all that you feel that you know you could. Also, chances are that if you are a perfectionist, your teacher recognizes it and might see it as self growth for you if you don’t do as much as usual because you are letting yourself off a bit.
2: when working in a group, sometimes it’s good to let other people take the wheel. Sometimes you don’t trust them to get you a good grade, or just know that you could do t better, but sometimes it can be healthy so let other people share what they think, and help you lead.
3: just remember that what you expect of yourself might be higher than what you are capable of, whether it be your grades, your attitude, your productiveness, etc, it’s not always going to be fulfilled, and you have to live with that fact sometimes. I often find myself laying on the pressure to be perfect, but it doesn’t always turn out and I have learned that sometimes you just have to let it be ok.
Anyways, that’s it, but I hope anyone who saw this is feeling just a bit better about themselves.
