The investment made by Jessica in Fund B is $22500

It is given that,

When Jessica made an investment of $6000 in Fund A, the return she get is 2% profit

Profit with an investment of $6000 in Fund A  = 2 %

Let x be the investment made by Jessica in Fund B

Similarly, When Jessica made second investment of $x in Fund B, the return she get is 1% profit

Profit with an investment of $x in Fund B = 1%

It is also given that,

The total profit earned by Jessica in both Fund A and Fund B = 5%

6000+x = 5%

Now, we need to find we need to find the investment made by Jessica in Fund B i.e the value of x

Therefore, we get

2 x 6000 + x = 5(6000 + x)

120000 + x = 30000 + 5x

5x -x = 120000 - 30000

4x = 90000

x = 22500

Hence, the investment made by Jessica in Fund B is $22500

Answer:

The triangular prism is a better deal because you get 204 in³ for the same price you would pay for 128 in³ with a trapezoidal prism.

Step-by-step explanation:

The trapezoidal prism has volume 32*4=128 cubic inches. The triangular prism has volume 34*6=204 inches. Since the triangular prism is more voluminous, it is the better deal. Hope this helps!

How you know a fraction is less than 1/2
nikitadnepr [17]

The fraction will continue to be the same numerator "1". However the denominator will be a greater number. Such as 4. Then you will know it is broken into more peices (as being a greater number). These pieces will automatically be a smaller fraction.

So, in order to know if a fraction is less then 1/2, it will have a greater denominator.

hope this helps :)
