$5.49 per hamburger x 2 hamburgers=$10.98
$1.75 per soda x 4 sodas=$7
$10.98+$6.25+$12.99+$7=$37.22
$37.22 x 0.07 sales tax=approximately $2.61
$37.22 x 0.2 tip=approximately $7.44
$37.22+$2.61+$7.44=$47.27

What is an equation of the line that passes through the point (6,0) and is perpendicular to the line 3x+4y=20
My name is Ann [436]

Answer:

The equation of the line is y = 4/3x - 8

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find this, we first have to find the slope of the original line. We do this by solving for y.

3x + 4y = 20

4y = -3x + 20

y = -3/4x + 5

Now that we have the slope of -3/4 we can find the perpendicular slope. The perpendicular slope of any time is the opposite and reciprocal slope. So we flip -3/4 to get -4/3 and then we make it positive (4/3). Now that we have our new slope, we can input it along with the point into point-slope form to find the equation.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - 0 = 4/3(x - 6)

y = 4/3x - 8

Please solve these coin problems:
ratelena [41]
1)
Solving from system of equations:
x- amount of 1 cent stamps
y- amount of 33 cent stamps
\left \{ {{1*x+33*y=18,40} \atop {x+y=80}} \right.\\x=80-y\\0,01*(80-y)+0,33y=18,40\\0,8-0,01y+0,33y=18,40\\0,32y=18,40-0,8\\0,32y=17,60 /:0,32\\y=55\\x=80-55=25
2)
x- amount of 20 cent stamops
y-amount of 34 cent stamps
From system of equations:
\left \{ {{0,2x+0,34y=19,90} \atop {x+y=75}} \right.\\x=75-y\\0,2(75-y)+0,34y=19,90\\ 15-0,2y+0
,34y=19,90\\-0,2y+0,34y=19,90-15\\0,14y=4,90/:0,14\\ y=35\\x=75-35=40
